Submission Deadline
May 29, 2026, 6:00 PM KSTThe call for abstracts is now open. We invite abstract submissions for poster presentations and oral presentations for the K-Brain 2026. Please carefully read the following guidelines before submitting your abstract.
During submission, submitters must assign their abstract to two of the following categories:
All abstracts must be submitted online in English through the abstract submission system by the submission deadline. Submissions in languages other than English cannot be processed. Email submissions will not be accepted.
Submitters and presenters must complete their full meeting registration, including payment, in order to submit and present an abstract. Attending co-presenter(s) and co-author(s) must register independently. If you do not have an account from previous KSBNS conferences, please sign up on the K-Brain 2026 website to create a new account.
Each submitter may submit only one abstract. Submitters are responsible for ensuring that all co-authors are aware of and approve the content prior to submission.
Submitters must select one of the following presentation types:
Use sentence-style capitalization—capitalizing only the first letter of the first word and proper nouns—for all inputs, including author names and affiliations, the title, abstract body, and keywords.
Submitters who wish to be considered for awards are requested to provide additional information during abstract submission to demonstrate the significance and impact of the research.
Please note that, in addition to the general requirements outlined above, each award category may have one or more specific information requirements tailored to its evaluation criteria. Applicants are asked to review the individual award descriptions carefully and to provide any additional information requested for the award they are applying for.
All submitted poster abstracts will be reviewed by the KSBNS Scientific Program Committee after the submission deadline. Abstracts may be accepted, rejected or returned for revision.
All students and postdoctoral researchers who are KSBNS members are eligible to apply for the KSBNS Outstanding Poster Awards, regardless of nationality or residency. Applicants must submit an extended abstract that includes research highlights and a graphical material supporting their research, within 1-2 pages. Previous awardees should refrain from applying with similar content.
Following the abstract submission deadline, the KSBNS Scientific Program Committee will conduct a preliminary review to select abstracts as candidates for the KSBNS Outstanding Poster Awards. Submitting authors will be notified by email if their abstracts are selected as candidates. Selected abstracts will be subject to final evaluation by appointed judges during the poster presentation sessions.
The KSBNS Outstanding Poster Awards recognize students and researchers who demonstrate excellence in scientific communication through a well-structured and informative poster that highlights the significance of their research findings. Award recipients will be formally acknowledged during the closing ceremony and will receive a certificate and a cash prize of 100,000 KRW. Awardees must be present at the Closing Ceremony to receive the award.
The KSBNS Scientific Program Committee will select 10 oral presentations. All students, postdoctoral fellows, and research professors who are KSBNS members are eligible to apply for this award, regardless of their nationality and residency. Previous awardees should refrain from applying with similar content.
All oral abstracts submitted for the Scitech Korea Best Oral Presentation Awards will be reviewed by the KSBNS Scientific Program Committee after the submission deadline. Based on the committee’s evaluation, abstracts may be accepted, returned for revision, or not selected for oral presentation. Submitting authors will be notified of the evaluation results by email.
Selected presenters will be assigned to thematic symposium sessions by the KSBNS Scientific Program Committee based on the coherence of their research topics. Failure to present without prior notification after being selected may result in restrictions on participation in future KSBNS conferences. Applicants whose abstracts are not selected for oral presentation will have the option to present their work as a poster, if they wish.
Award recipients will be formally acknowledged during the closing ceremony and will receive a certificate and a cash prize of 500,000 KRW. Awardees must be present at the Closing Ceremony to receive the award.
