KSBNS Research Achievement Award

The Korean Society for Brain and Neural Sciences (KSBNS) has established the KSBNS Research Achievement Award to recognize and encourage mid-career neuroscientists who have made sustained and creative contributions to neuroscience and are expected to continue producing internationally recognized, high-impact research.

This award was newly founded in 2025 through a generous endowment of 100 million KRW by Dr. Hee-Sup Shin, a former president of KSBNS. It is intended to honor researchers who have accumulated a track record of sustained, internationally recognized scientific achievements in key areas of brain and neural sciences.

Rather than focusing on a single contribution, this award evaluates the candidate's recent body of work in terms of creativity, continuity, scientific rigor, and impact on both academia and the Society.
